Post-Doctoral Fellowship Research Grant Winners Selected
The selection of winners of the Senior Scholars, the Sabbatical and the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Grant was completed on 23 October 2006. The jury members of the representative grants met in Addis Ababa on the same date and finalised their selection. Dr. Alfred G. Nhema, Executive Secretary of OSSREA, opened the event and made a brief speech in which he emphasised the need to ensure transparency in the selection process. The following applicants were short-listed as winners of the grants in the two programmes.

The Sabbatical Research Grant Competition
The jury members for the 2006 Sabbatical Research Grant Competition met on 23rd October 2006 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to screen the best research proposals.
The jury members were:

The jury selected the following six winners:

2. Dr. Tekalign Wolde-Mariam

The winners’ workshop is scheduled to take place from 30th November – 1st December 2006 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the proposed studies and to offer the grantees an opportunity to elaborate on their revised proposals.
