The Chinese-African Peoples’ Friendship Association Visits OSSREA
H.E Mr. Yang Fuchang, President of the Chinese-African Peoples’ Friendship Association, visited the OSSREA Secretariat in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 2nd May 2006.
H.E Mr. Yang Fuchang and his accompanying members were received by the Executive Secretary of OSSREA, Dr. Alfred G. Nhema and the Secretariat staff. In his welcoming remark, the Executive Secretary briefed the delegates on OSSREA’s mission, goals and objectives, and its activities in building the capacity of the sub-region in its 25-years existence.

H.E Mr. Yang Fuchang, after thanking the OSSREA Secretariat for the warm reception it accorded him and his entourage, explained about the mission and objectives of the Sino-African Peoples’ Friendship Association, its accomplishments in fostering strong relationship and mutual cooperation between the peoples of Asia and Africa since its foundation in 1960, and its current engagements in Africa. His Excellency also commended OSSREA on its commitment to ideals of practical value to the sub-region and beyond and its share of contribution towards the development of the African continent, and expressed his Association’s willingness and hope to work in collaboration with OSSREA in areas of building the capacity of human resources in the region.
