Capacity Building for Social and Gender Analysis in NRM
OSSREA is implementing a research project entitled ‘Research Capacity Building in Gender and Social Analysis in Natural Resource Management Research’. Within this project framework ‘Small Grants’ worth USD 10,000.00 to 12,000.00 are available. The ‘Small Grants’ are to supplement ongoing Natural Resource Management (NRM) research projects so that the projects can address social, gender and environmental issues. A jury set up for the purpose has selected seven proposals from individuals located at various African research and academic institutions.
Within the framework of the above mentioned project, learning and teaching materials relevant to gender and social analysis in NRM research have been identified and collected. The materials will be organised and copied on CD in a user-friendly format and distributed to the OSSREA’s liaison officers in member countries and to IDRC/PLaW partners.
