Workshop for Year 2002 Winners of Senior Scholars Research Grant
The 2002 workshop was organised from 19th - 20th May 2003 at OSSREA headquarters in Addis Ababa. The purpose of the workshop was to allow the winners to present their revised proposals and for OSSREA to ensure the incorporation of the comments of the jury members as well as to provide them with further feedback for refining the proposals prior to the signing of the grant agreement. The workshop also aimed at familiarising winners with OSSREA and vice versa and to discuss the terms and conditions indicated in the agreement for receiving the grant. During the workshop, various invited scholars of the Addis Ababa University who reviewed the research proposals were able to provide the winners with constructive suggestions and comments that helped them improve their conceptual frameworks and methodological approaches. Prof. Bahru Zewde, the Resident Vice-President of OSSREA, opened the workshop.
