The OSSREA Zambia Chapter Holds Its Annual National Workshop
The OSSREA Zambia Chapter held its fifth two- day national workshop from 15th - 16th August 2003 at Mulungushi International Conference, Lusaka, Zambia. The theme of the workshop was: Globalisation and Development in Zambia. About 50 participants from the academia, civil society and NGOs attended the workshop. An important departure from the previous workshops, which were an almost University of Zambia affair, the 2003 workshop was attended by participants from two other colleges in Lusaka. Participants also came from the Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce and from the National Institute of Public Administration. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zambia, Professor Robert Serpell, officially opened the workshop. Dr. Regina G. M. Karega, the President of OSSREA, attended the workshop as an honoured guest. She also gave a keynote address.
In all, 14 papers were presented at the workshop, of which eleven were presented by University of Zambia academics and three by academics from the Copperbelt University.
During the business session, the Liaison Officer, Prof. Jotham C. Momba, presented a brief report on the activities undertaken by the Chapter and on some of the planned activities of the Chapter.

7. ‘Chances and Indicators of Corruption in Collective Bargaining,’ by Mataa Mwiya;
