Pastoral Resource Competition Project

The Pastoral Resource Competition Project is a capacity building project aimed at conducting research by East African scientists on pastoralism and resource competition under increasing resource scarcity which generate conflicts between pastoral and non-pastoral land users and other parties interested in land. The project is a joint activity of OSSREA and the Institute of Social Studies (ISS), The Netherlands.

  • To influence policy makers and create a network of regional grassroots, scientific and policy actors, and parameters within the wider context of development research.
