Dr. Madzingira, the Liaison Officer for OSSREA, thanked participants for attending the workshop. Dr. Madzingira also thanked the presenters for their papers, in spite of the short notice. The papers will be sent to OSSREA so that they can be considered for publication. Appreciation was also extended to discussants who had got the papers on the day of the workshop, but had nonetheless read and commented on them meaningfully. Dr. Madzingira thanked the President of OSSREA, Dr. Pangeti, for attending the workshop and staying most of the time. Participants were urged to spread the word on OSSREA as a way of attracting new members not only from academic institutions, but also from non-governmental and civic institutions. Funds permitting, it was hoped that next year, a workshop would be held outside Harare, so that OSSREA is not a Harare chapter only.
The Liaison Officer informed participants that she would circulate a form soliciting information pertaining to activities OSSREA members could engage in in 2002.
The workshop ended at 18:35 and was followed by a cocktail.
