The Gender Training Programme is one of the new programmes initiated in 2005.  OSSREA’s core interest in the programme lies in expanding a multidisciplinary research, capacity building through training, organising forums to disseminate research findings and facilitate exchange of experiences within the eastern and southern Africa region. The specific objective of this training programme is to enable the participants to mainstream gender with an aim of addressing the problems of gender power imbalance and gender-related concerns comprehensively. The themes covered in the programme included gender analysis, strategies and modalities in gender mainstreaming, opportunities for gender mainstreaming in African countries, indicators of monitoring and evaluation, mainstreaming gender in organizations etc.

How to Apply:

The Gender Mainstreaming Training is conducted depending upon the availability of fund. A call for application is posted on the home page of OSSREA's website and applicants should be based in Eastern and Southern Africa and fulfill the requirement stated in the call.
