The incumbent will be essential for the Bank to fulfil its objectives to boost investment with local SMEs, stimulate growth and enhance employment. The candidate must have an experience of technical and institutional / structural aspects of the construction, rehabilitation and modernisation of water, wastewater, solid waste, district heating, and/or public transport projects and finance and financial structuring of projects in the aforementioned sectors. Candidates who combine a technical and financial background, with additional experience in related E2C2 projects (e.g., ESCOs, waste to energy) will be of particular interest. Experience in emerging markets, including Central and Eastern Europe and/or Turkey and/or the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean is advantageous.  Fluency in French, Russian and/or Arabic would be an advantage. The candidate must have an experience related to infrastructure and environmental investments, project finance and investment project implementation notably involving EU funds. Relevant work experience in a merchant/investment, commercial, public institution or development bank or in a corporation closely associated with and/or exposed to the operations of the EBRD or the EU. Fluency in one the Western Balkans languages, in particular Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian/ Montenegrin, would be a strong advantage.
