Senior Scholars Research Grant Competition
For senior scholars of the region; to retain this capacity within each institution and, over time, stem the tide of brain drain from each country; and to contribute to the establishment and thriving of an African research tradition.
Social Science and Gender Issues Research Grant Competitions
These are annual competitions for young scholars working in various research and higher education institutions based in the Eastern and Southern African Region.
To create a data bank that will provide useful information to universities and research centers in the region
To collect, preserve, and make accessible to researchers African archives
To collect and make available to members, researchers and other users scientific and up-to-date literature and other relevant materials in the social sciences, especially those related to the region
To provide users with reference materials
To document and facilitate OSSREA’s workshop and training activities
