Abstract:
The book is the third of the proceedings published within the East African Drylands programme, which focuses on the spatial and temporal dimensions of resource management. The book is a compilation of case studies from East African Drylands, covering diverse but closely interrelated issues: resource alienation, militarisation of local conflicts, local institutions, knowledge in resource management and conflict resolution, and other development issues.
